Brandon Draugelis was the fastest Senior 1 Expert racer of the day.Brandon Draugelis - Cannondale   This young man has had a busy year. He earned a scholarship to college and in his spare time has become one of the fastest regional racers. Brandon did 4 laps in 2:51:16 taking 1st Place Senior 1 Expert and 8th Overall racers. Brandon also took 5th Place at the very difficult Michaux Maximus last week. Keep your eye on this up and comer as he looks to be successful on and off the bike. 2nd Place Expert Senior 1 was Christopher Beck - LSV/Trek/VW, 2:53:38 back. 3rd Place Ed Bush - Wissahickon ran a great race coming in just one minute behind 2nd Place.

Tony Baldo - Upstate Velo-Sicklers made it two in a row after placing 1st Senior 2 Expert at Michaux Maximus last week. Tony won 1st Place Senior 2 Expert hands down. He pulled away faster than normal with Jason Newcome - Action Wheels on his wheel from the start. They pulled away from the rest of the field and Tony settled into a steady pace. Tony slowly pulled away riding a smooth, trouble free race. Jason held his position and finished up 4:08 back, gapping the third place Kevin Fryberger - Beans Bikes (9:08 back) by 5 minutes.

Ransom Weaver - Guy's Racing Club won the Vet 1 Expert race with a phenomenal time of 2:04:58. Mike Yozell was first into the singletrack coming off of his very impressive Michaux Maximus 1st Place Overall Expert win last week. Ransom was 2:21 behind Mike at Michaux placing second and would have none of it this week. Ransom worked his way into first place in the first lap and after Mike crashed in the Weymouth's Hill section (the largest hills of the course), Ransom put the hammer down and had everyone out of sight by the top of the hill. Kevin Causak - Tailwind placed second 1:15 back and Mike Yozell - Wissahickon third at 8:38 back. Antonio Debarros won Expert Vet 2 with a time of 2:09:10 which would have placed him in 3rd place Vet 1.

Tim Messersmith - First Capital Velo seems to be in a class by himself. This guy was 4th in the World Masters Championships in 2002 and has consistently won race after race. Tim won the Expert Master 45+ (he's 52 this year)........... and he won by 16 minutes and 44 seconds. Richard McCurdy - Cycle Fit was second at 16:44 back and 3rd Place Mike Connair - First State Velo Sport came in 22:02 back.
