Well I've been with the company ten years...... and we've been every year since then. Prior to being CANE CREEK we were owned by Diacom....... so we came as Diacom for a number of years as well. What is your focus for the show this year? Supporting the dealer network....... supporting our rep base........ having the dealers come through and see the new product and see the sales program that we have put together through the reps. This is the largest gathering of cycling industry representatives from all over the world. What is your take on the general attitude for 2002? We came in not knowing what to expect with regards to the number of folks that were going to show up and it's been upbeat overall. The numbers of dealers that have come in might be a little bit down but the traffic has been real good and I think the cycling industry remains upbeat for the future even though the economy might be in a situation right now where it's a little bit sketchy on where we're going to be economically. Will the Sept. 11th attacks on America and its effect on the economy change any of your business plans for 2002? We were already looking to be conservative and making sure that our spending was in line with where the sales are going and be conservative in that regard. The events might just cause us to reexamine that conservatism and continue along that vein. Are you happy with this year's show? So far....... yes we are. |
