How was your fitness level going into this race?

OK. My mileage had decreased over the past few weeks and I had been slacking on my nutrition plan. I was concerned about how I would handle the extreme heat.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

Yes. I was in third position going into the single track, and was comfortable with the pace that was being set by Kristine and Theresa.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I had my moments. Once I got over the fact that it was so darn hot, I was on auto pilot and determined to finish or drop.

When did you put the hammer down?

When I found out that our last lap was going to be cut a bit short!!

Did you have any unusual problems?

Not really.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

The race organizers and everyone involved did an outstanding job!! It was quite hot and they managed to keep things moving as quickly as humanly possible.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

The Regee guys in the van down by the river were welcomed each and every lap!! Keep on rockin' guys!!

I am looking forward to becoming a "regular" participant in the Mid-Atlantic Super Series. Thanks and see ya next time!!!
