How was your fitness level going into this race?

Very close to 100%. I ran the REALLY GOOD TRAINING SERIES in Marysville,PA (a series of five races in March)-believe me it worked-my lap times kept falling & my placing kept rising- give this series a try next year; Marysville is 10min from Harrisburg, PA.

Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?

OH yeah- 1st place & walking away

Were you strong from start to finish?

Yes again- power to spare

When did you put the hammer down?

At the high pitched tone after the four short beeps.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Yes, the spring on my derailler shit the bed halfway through the third lap - I was still able to finish but missing a few gears. This is my 2nd XTR derailler failure; I might go to an XT (supposedly more reliable)

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

As with all Mid-Atlantic Super Series races- VERY PROFESSIONAL in every way.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Just my BUDDY(??) telling me I looked TIRED---funny thing was I felt GREAT!!

It never ceases to amaze me how Don Morrison gets better looking every day. Bill Deputy too.
