Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?

Nothing special

Were you strong from start to finish?

It took me a while to fully warm up, I think I rode stronger towards the end.

Do you feel like you did well in relation to other races you did this year? You've been doing so well. How did this performance rate?

Compared to other races, I think I pedaled well but my bike handling skills were not 100%.

What part of the course was the most fun for you?

The rocky singletrack sections.

When did you put the hammer down... were you going head-to-head with anyone?

I was fortunate to ride with Jake Gettier and Jay Duffy for much of the race. Jake really knows Michaux and rides it as well as anyone, and Jay is always strong. We had a fast train going.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No, nothing unusual or major.

How would you rate the course?

8.5 on a 1-10 scale, with the other two Michaux courses being 10's.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes, Gettysburg Bikes and the volunteers did an exceptional job. Thanks everyone for your help.

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

Yes, take it with a grain of salt when someone tells me before the start that the course is flat. It definitely was not flat.

Why is Michaux such a great place for a race?

It is the Enchanted Forest.

Anything you'd like to add?

The site looks great, keep up the great work. Thank you.

Thank you Mike for the compliments and the interview!
