Did you do everything you could to prepare for today's race?
I have been training hard all summer and its starting to pay off now and hopefully for the rest of the fall.
Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?
I would have liked to lead going into it, but I was in 4th and didn't have any problems.
How did you like the manhole downhill?
It was insane. I actually almost endoed the second time around but got back down fortunately!
Were you strong from start to finish?
I was strongest in the first lap where I gained a lot of my time. I did feel awesome crossing the line though.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yeah, a great race, the 3 minute spread between each age group made it even better.
When did you put the hammer down?
I pretty much had it down the entire race, I wanted to win, but I'd say the 3rd lap is when I really went all out.
Did you have any unusual problems?
My chain would drop from second to first every so often but that's no big deal.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
No not really.
Did you climb the steep uphill on any laps?
Every time I tried, but I would get caught by somebody stopping or falling in front and I wouldn't have the chance to continue.
Anything you'd like to add?
Thanks a lot for every one who made this possible, my dad for bringing me, to mountainbikeracer.com, and to Haro for the sick frame they gave me for winning!
