Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

Nope, ate a lot of donuts yesterday.... donuts and potato chips.

Were you strong from start to finish?

From the start.... but not the finish. The last four miles I died. I just kind of carried though.

Did the donuts have anything to do with that?

Probably the fact that I didn't eat anything at night and ate a million donuts in the middle of the day.... (laughs)... I wouldn't recommend it.

When did you put the hammer down?

Around the beginning..... middle. About 10 miles in because I started riding with people... it was fun.... I started chasing people and going back and forth with Tom McDaniels .... so it was good.

Did you have any unusual problems with the race?

None.

How would you rate the course?

It was fast and fun.... dry.... good course. Todd did a good job setting it up.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes. Very much.

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

I'd probably ride more than one hour each day before the race. That way I'd have a little more endurance.

Thank you again Katie Compton for the interview!!
