Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
I had a few beers last night so.......that was different.
Did you like the way Guy's ran each category separately to reduce traffic due to the large turnout?
Yes...... it was good. I didn't run into that much traffic and there was plenty of room to pass.
Were you happy with your choice of tires?
Yeah..... it was the only ones I had with me so...... but they were great.
What was your favorite part of the course?
The flat stuff that was twisty, windy with banked turns....... it was a fast part of the course. That was fun..... you could just put it in the big ring and just pedal.
Were you strong from start to finish today?
Actually I didn't feel that good today.......I was hurting but....... I kind of just went steady....... set the pace constant the whole time I think my last lap I tried to push it a little bit just because I knew I was almost done.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
No.
When did you put the hammer down?
Probably half way through the first lap. I went into it easy from the start and then just kind of sat in a little bit. I don't like taking off so fast......... I need to warm up and get into it.
Did you have any unusual problems?
No.
How would you rate the course?
It's not as much fun as it was last year....... because it had that sticky mud this year......it was like clay, and I just kept thinking how much fun it was last year. How dry it was.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yeah....... I think it was run very good....... run very well.......they got the results up fast and the awards done quickly...... much better than the other Super Series races.
