Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race? Special diet or anything?
(Laughs)....... I changed my diet a little bit for my enzyme problem and it didn't seem to work for me today. I'm still working on it..... and I'll find that balance soon.
Did you achieve your goals for this race?
No........ not quite.......
Were you strong from start to finish?
I was strong for the first three laps and after that I hit the wall..... I bonked..... so...... the fourth lap was basically finishing. That's all I had to do. That was my goal.
Don Morrison and Wissahickon Cyclery did a great job putting together this race and we thank them for their efforts. Was there anything that you observed that could be done better as the series progresses?
No, it was a great turnout for a basically new venue and bad weather.
When did you put the hammer down?
From the start. The first couple of laps I think were pretty fast..... but they started to slow after that.
Did you have any unusual problems?
Got chain suck once because of all the mud but..... considering all of the mud once isn't bad.
How would you rate the course?
Fun for the first couple of laps.... but that mud wears on you. The first was like playing in the mud when you were a little kid ....... afterwards you just keep getting tired as the mud gets thicker.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yeah..... good course.....
