Did you do everything you could to prepare for today's race?
I train pretty much the same for each week, so yeah.
Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?
No. The long, flat start helped to spread out my class.
How did you like the long climbs?
Yeah. The open-field climb suited me well and the climb towards the end was technical and tough.
Were you strong from start to finish?
I felt good for the entire race.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes, for the most part. I do wish that the organizers would do the raffles and stuff earlier so the awards ceremony doesn't drag on. Lots of people have long drives ahead of them on Sunday nite.
When did you put the hammer down?
After I took the lead a mile or two into the first singletrack.
Did you have any unusual problems?
No
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
No
Do you enjoy point to point races more than lap races?
Yes I do, but lap races have their place too.
