How was your fitness level going into this race?

The engine was running great. The team on pit lane has really done a great job working on it and getting it ready for this race.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

I would have rather been first.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I had a double bogey on 9, then had a beer at the turnaround. After that I had a birdie on 10 and 11 and I started to get into the groove again.

When did you put the hammer down?

On the NJ Turnpike.

Did you have any unusual problems?

I got a little sand in my socks.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yep.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Someone tried to take my water bottle. I had to go back and get it after the race.
