How was your fitness level going into this race?

Good.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

I wasn't too happy with my position at first, but after I started passing people out I felt it was better to go into the singletrack in the middle of the pack like I had done.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I felt strong until I ran out of water on the third lap. It kind of made me feel sick after the race.

When did you put the hammer down?

I put the hammer down on the second lap. On this lap I made up seven minutes from the first lap.

Did you have any unusual problems?

I was stuck in my four highest gears on my cassette from the second lap on.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes. I think there was only one problem with the race. There were beginners, sports, and experts out on the course all at once.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

My back tire was spinning out up a hill and someone behind me gave me a push to help me up, but it didn't work out too well anyway.

Anything you would like to add?

There was a great turnout for the race. It was a fun course, but it would've been better without all of the mud.
