• How was your fitness level going into this race?
   
  I thought it was really good considering it being my first race of the year. I felt like i didn't lose much of my riding ability over the winter.
   
  
• Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?
   
  Yes. I was 2nd going into the singletrack, and took 1st as soon as it opened up.
   
  
• Were you strong from start to finish?
   
  I started feeling a little tired on the last lap, but i was still able to push myself as hard as i wanted to.
   
  
• When did you put the hammer down?
   
  In the 1st lap. I wanted to make sure i started out with a good lead.
   
  
• Did you have any unusual problems?
   
  No.
   
  
• Were you happy with the way the race was run?
   
  I thought the race was run well. The delays were not long at all which made warming up a lot easier.
   
  
• Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
   
  No.

  I would like to thank Guy's Racing and Kranzel Bike for their sponsorship. I would also like to thank Ransom for bringing an extra jersey for me, as well as my parents for getting me to the race.
