Did you like the way Guy's ran each category separately to reduce traffic due to the large turnout?

Yes, this was a great idea and it made a huge difference in the lapped traffic. Everyone was awesome and very congenial to move over and let us by. Thanks guys !

Were you happy with your choice of tires?

Heck no !! It was my own fault really though. I have been using the Bontrager Super X tires everywhere and they have been great too. However, not in the New Jersey Mud. Nasty stuff, isn't it? I thought they were going to be fine but, I was wrong and they weren't fine. Slip slide and away was going through my mind the whole race. It was so bad that I though Mike Yozell was going to catch me for sure. Somehow I managed to stay ahead of him for the third place spot on the podium. Not bad but....

What was your favorite part of the course?

The whole course was fun !

Were you strong from start to finish?

I felt pretty strong but, my tires wouldn't let me put the power to the ground where it needs to be. No excuses though, Jason and John rode a heck-of-a race. Good Job Guy's !

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

John MacInnis and I were riding together for about a lap or so. That was fun! It's always better to be racing someone for a position then it is to be out there all alone.

When did you put the hammer down?

My plan was to put the hammer down on the last lap to try and pull the leaders back to me when they were getting tired. I did that but it wasn't quite enough to reel them in. Tires?

Did you have any unusual problems?

No.

How would you rate the course?

It was nice.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

A feed zone would be nice.

Is there anything you would like to add?

Thanks to all the volunteers and to all the spectators and to all the racers and to all the people at mountainbikeRACER.com. LETS KEEP OUR SPORT SPECIAL AND PROFESSIONAL FOR EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO ENJOY IT . Thank you everyone! See Ya at Fair Hill MD. (24 Hours of Snowshoe, Duo Pro next week for me but, "good luck" to all you guys racing at Fell Mountain in PA.)
