How was your fitness level going into this race? My fitness has been great since the Transalp stage race in July. I'm trying to convert to endurance for the 24 Hr Solo Worlds next weekend, so I completed a 7 hour trail ride last wednesday, but still felt good for this race. Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack? Yes, I was first. Were you strong from start to finish? Yes. When did you put the hammer down? From the gun. Did you have any unusual problems? Not really. Were you happy with the way the race was run? Yes, great job to Guy's guys. Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)? The spectators on the steep uphill were having fun and were motivating me to ride the section. Anything you would like to add? Thanks to Bill Gentile for setting me up with my newest sponsor, Lupine Lights. The lights are the brightest I have ever seen, and I'll be using them at the 24 Hr Solo Worlds next weekend. You can check out and purchase the Lupine lights at www.gretnabikes.com.
