Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?

Got a lot of sleep, ate right... came prepared.... No bacon. (laughs)

Were you strong from start to finish?

I felt as though I was fading a little bit towards the end. However, I was still able to stay ahead of the second place guy.

What was your favorite part of the course today?

Anything with climbs.

When did you put the hammer down?

As soon as I passed the first place guy I decided it was time to go and I didn't look back.

Did you have any unusual problems with the race?

No problems besides my chain coming off three times. (2X9 problems)

How would you rate the course?

The course was excellent. The Delaware Trail Spinners did a fantastic job. It was very well marked and the race was well organized.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

I sure was.

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

I would have hydrated more and not have lost my water bottle halfway through the race.

Anything you'd like to add?

Thank you for the interview and hope to see you in the Expert class next time.
