Jesse Epstein-
WW

Date:
August 13, 2000
Event: Iron Hill XC (FSVS)
Class: Senior 19=29
Category: Sport
Length: 19.5 mi
Time: 1:32:56
Conditions: Overcast and 70ish ( a little rain towards the end of the pro/expert race but Jeremiah got in way before it started)

Bike: Cannondale Jekyl
Tires: IRC Mythos

Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

I ate some bacon last night.

Were you strong from start to finish?

Yeah, I felt pretty good the whole time.

When did you put the hammer down?

Middle of the second lap.

How do you rate the course?

Fantastic, it was a very fun and exciting course.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes. Brent did a fantastic job.

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

No.

So when did you catch the lead guy?

I stayed with him a while and let him do some work.... then towards the end of the second lap near the bottom of the largest climb (the washed out one that had the steep section at the top leading into the whoop-de-doos) he went for his water bottle and started drinking and that's when I attacked.

Anything you'd like to add?

Thanks for the interview.... it was a great race and a lot of fun.
