Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?

No, not really, I helped them set up the course the day before, but that's about it.

Did you find the rock gardens challenging?

I grew up riding this stuff in Northeastern PA so I feel right at home on it.

Were the other riders courteous when passed or passing?

Yes, everyone was very nice and gave encouragement. Thanks

What was your favorite part of the course?

My favorite part of this course is probably the second piece of technical singletrack that drops you down on the field which overlooks Carbondale, although the whole course is great.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I felt I rode a pretty consistent race, although at the end I was starting to slow down a bit.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

No, nothing out of the ordinary.

When did you put the hammer down?

Whenever I got into the technical singletrack sections without someone in front of me I tried to ride them as hard as I could.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No, my bike worked great, and I felt pretty good throughout the whole race.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

I thought LBC did a great job running the race. Joe Tierney put an awful lot of time and effort into pulling it off and he did a great job. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped out too.

Is there anything you would like to add?

I would just like to reiterate my thanks to the LBC and to the mountainbikeracer.com staff for putting on the series Thanks.
