How was your fitness level going into this race?

My fitness level seems average. I did not feel particularly strong.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

I was very happy to be 2nd into the single track. Everyone starts off so quickly and it is very difficult to get position early.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I was consistent, but I don't think that I was very strong. I had trouble keeping up with the leaders at times.

When did you put the hammer down?

On the last lap I was getting caught and had to push real hard to get away.

Did you have any unusual problems?

My rear brake went after the first lap, so handling was an issue.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

The race was run real well except for the starting time. Maybe they could post updates on a chalkboard about starting times.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Racing with no rear brake is an interesting experience.
