Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?

I let my mileage get a little out of hand at the beginning of the week, which forced me to take extra time off before the race.

Did you like the way Guy's ran each category separately to reduce traffic due to the large turnout?

The race was excellently administered in every regard...thanks, Guy's.

Were you happy with your choice of tires?

Yes, although I debated whether to change them to something beefier for a while the night before the race.

What was your favorite part of the course?

I had a love/hate relationship with the wet clay hills. I hated searching the edges for traction while climbing, but loved making it over the humps.

Were you strong from start to finish?

See following answer...

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

I lost my only water bottle in a crash early in the first lap, and didn't have anyone to hand me a replacement, so I was a little preoccupied until I recovered the bottle on the next lap.

When did you put the hammer down?

Whenever the ground was firm enough to make it a good idea.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Not aside from the bottle.

How would you rate the course?

It's hard to evaluate the course fairly because of the mud. It was OK, but I would have liked a bit more climbing.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Absolutely.

Is there anything you would like to add?

This race might have inspired me to check out the world of cyclocross...
