Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?

Drank my Guinness

Did you make it up all of the hills?

Yes

What was your favorite part of the course?

The new single track by the MX course. Nice and technical, just the way I like it.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I thought I was dying on the last lap but I dug deep and found enough to hammer into the finish

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Yes, in the first lap I took the lead and settled down into what I thought was a good pace and that is when Mike Kuhn blasted by me at about twice the speed I was going. It took a lot to catch back up and hang with him.

When did you put the hammer down?

On the last lap I had figured out that Mike was stronger than me in the open but a bit slower in the woods. So I dove into the single track, down by the river, just ahead of Mike and just went as hard as I could to get as far as I could in front of Mike. Luckily it worked.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Crashed after the pond

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Outstanding

Is there anything you would like to add?

Yes, I want to thank Mike for pushing me so hard. And I am just amazed how well the race turned out. Craig you rule. And of course, Bill you rock.
