How was your fitness level going into this race?

As good as it has been all season, but could always be better.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

Yes, for the most part. I was in third position going in.

Were you strong from start to finish?

The pace was really fast at the beginning, and never seem to relax. My heart rate was 170+ for over 56 minutes.

When did you put the hammer down?

Saturday, when I finished repairing the deck.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No, none.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes, the club did a great job! It was an awesome course. Challenging, yet rideable.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

An unknown rider from Sport or Expert, not sure which one, rode behind me during the second lap, and pushed me when I needed to be pushed. Also offered me some encouragement. Thank you mystery rider.

Anything you would like to add?

Nice to ride a DRY course for a change.
