Did you do everything you could to prepare for today's race?
Yes, I think I was prepared for the race.
Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?
No
How did you like the climbs?
I liked the climbs for the most part, they were for the most part gradual but by the end they wore you down.
Were you strong from start to finish?
I started slow but other than that I think I rode a strong race.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes, the races at Spring MTN have always been run well.
When did you put the hammer down?
I think I just rode a consistent race......not sure if I put the hammer down.
Did you have any unusual problems?
No.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
Yes, when Chris E lapped me going up the gradual hill to the top he said something like "I didn't know you could do the whole course in the big ring" and at the time I was in my small ring.
Did you feel any extra excitement since this is the final Super Series race?
Yes, I knew I needed to have a good race in order to move up into the top three in the overall points.
If you had just ONE thing that you could change to make next year's series better....... what would that be?
I would like to see the points system change for next year. I think there should be a bigger gap between placings in the top 5 or so riders and then the points should even out. For example something similar to this: 100,75,60,35,25,20,18,16,14,12,11,10 and so on down the line. You would also need to finish the race to earn points as well.
Anything you would like to add?
Many thanks to Bill D. and Don M. for making the series happen. Thanks as well to all of the race promoters who put in the hard work to make each individual race happen. Also would like to thank God who has given me the ability and strength to race. Finally, thanks to all of my teammates who made the racing season fun and interesting!!
