How was your fitness level going into this race?

Getting better but still needs improvement.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

NO, I would have liked to have been closer to the front at the top of the first climb.

Were you strong from start to finish?

No, I started to feel a little cramping on the last lap.

When did you put the hammer down?

As usual just tried to be consistent.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Probably nothing that everybody else didn't have. Mud sticking to the tires and packing up in the brakes so that the wheels wouldn't turn, was the biggest problem. It sure made running/walking up the long hill tough!!.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes, thanks to JB Mountainbikes for promoting the race. Thanks also to everyone who helped out with the race.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

After crashing on the one downhill on the 2nd lap, I had one rider ask me on the 3rd lap if I was going to crash this time........he passed me and then almost crashed himself.
