Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
No, same old stuff.
Did you achieve your goals for this race?
Won my class so I guess so, ultimate goal would be to have a faster time than Jeremiah but that is not a realistic goal.
Were you strong from start to finish?
No, I had felt great the first lap and tired more with each lap. Was pretty wasted at the finish, glad it ended when it did.
Don Morrison and Wissahickon Cyclery did a great job putting together this race and we thank them for their efforts. Was there anything that you observed that could be done better as the series progresses?
No Don did a great job.
When did you put the hammer down?
First lap.
If you ran into these exact trail conditions again, would you do anything differently?
Run the Mud tires! The Michelins really packed up the latter part of the race.
Did you have any unusual problems?
Broke a chain in the big Mudhole.
How would you rate the course?
I didn't like the mud parts that you had to run through but overall the course was good.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes
If you could do the race again - would you do anything differently?
Install new chain, chain rings, and cassette. Use mud tires.
Is there anything you would like to add?
Good race and thanks to Don and mountainbikeracer.com for putting the series together.
