Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

Not really, I kind of just trained through this one. This really wasn't one of the races that I was focusing on for the year.

In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained?

Between 10 to 12.

Were you strong from start to finish?

Yeah, I felt pretty strong.

When did you put the hammer down?

Right after the first turn cause I ended up crashing in the first turn - someone crashed right in front of me so I ended up going down behind them. I got kind of mad, so I just took off from there.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Just the crash in the first turn, other than that - everything went smooth.

How do you rate the course?

Very good. It's probably a 9 out of 10. Could use a little more climbing, but other than that it's great!

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yeah, definitely. It seemed a little slow on getting the races started but besides that, yes.

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

Probably not, maybe slow down a little more for the first turn. That's about it.

Is there anything you would like to add?

It wasn't my fault in the first turn - that's what I'd like to add. A friend of mine went down and I tried to go around him but my bar-end got caught in the fencing - that brought me down, the mesh tape on the fence.

Did you jump up and get first into the single-track?

Yeah, it was hard but I was kind of upset so I just took off.
