Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

No, not at all. Didn't even sleep last night. None!.

In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained on average?

Maybe 3 or 4 hours per week.

Were you strong from start to finish?

Very consistent lap times between the first and the second lap was less than 20 seconds so... really consistent.

When did you put the hammer down?

Well, when I knew I had the race won - I looked back - you get that second push of adrenaline... I kept the same pace for most of the race except the last quarter of a mile. I just put it in the big ring and just let it rip.

Did you have any unusual problems with the race?

None at all.

How do you rate the course?

Pretty good, but I did the 12 Hours of Reddick so that got me prepared for this - a month ago I did that one. The course is nice, it's pretty rider friendly.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yeah, very happy. Very satisfied. They do a great job.

What was your prize for first place?

Interviewed before awards.

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

Ride harder. Ride faster. Try to win more. Maybe try to get some sleep the night before.

Is there anything you would like to add?

No, that's about it. I'm kind of talked out.
