Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

Actually I didn't do much. I was still a little tired from last weekend at Philadelphia so I took this week off to rest for this one............ the race in Philadelphia was very hot........ took a lot out of me.

In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained on average?

About 10 hours.

Were you strong from start to finish?

No. I had trouble on the second lap. I fell about five times. I made some mental mistakes and fell way too many times so I had to push much, much harder on lap three.

When did you put the hammer down?

On the third lap in the back single-track. In the fast sections I tried to pick it up even more than I did on lap one and two. I had to pick up the time I lost because of the mistakes I made on lap two.

Did you have any unusual problems?

I did hit one log a little funny and went over the handlebars but I recuperated from that and got going again.

How do you rate the course?

One of the best I have ever ridden. It's absolutely fantastic........ it's a mountain biker's dream.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Very much so. Team Harrisburg did a great job! Commend Team Harrisburg!

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

Try to have a better second lap. Not make the mental mistakes that I made. I knew it was going to be hot today so I sort of backed off on lap two and that was a mistake 'cause I mentally backed off too.

Is there anything you would like to add?

The course was excellent, everybody did a great job and had lots of fun today.
