Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

No. I was training through this race. I rode really hard this week. I didn't think I was going to do good at all. I was doing some power work and my legs were killing me but it worked out really well.

In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained?

15 to 20.

Were you strong from start to finish?

Actually the first lap I took off really, really hard. Jeremiah (Bishop) wanted me to go hard off the front just to make sure no one would be playing any games with us like yesterday in the short track..... so I took off really hard and I got like a 30 or 45 second gap on all of them - then they reeled me back in ...... I thought I was done right there but....I just paced myself and came back.

When did you put the hammer down?

The fourth and fifth lap.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No the bike was perfect. No problems at all.

How do you rate the course?

It's not as good as Michaux. They better have Michaux next year...... It was a good course.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yeah, it was run really well.

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

Not go out so hard in the beginning. That hurt really bad the second and third lap. I felt it.... then I started coming back.

Is there anything you would like to add?

I'd like to thank my sponsors K2 New Sun.
