Did you do anything special to prepare for this race? No. In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained? About 15 Were you strong from start to finish? I was stronger in the beginning. In the middle the Dead Women's Hollow climb I faded a little. Jeremiah put like about a minute gap on me there. Coming into the three mile rocky section I was getting a little dizzy. I drank a lot of water and ate a lot too and was able to recover after that. On the final climb - that probably hurt the most. I didn't want to get caught by anyone so I big-ringed it all the way up. When did you put the hammer down? The last couple of miles. I tried to at least. |

Did you have any unusual problems? Only that the night before this race there was a loud party upstairs and it kept me up ALL night. How do you rate the course?I love this course. This course is awesome. Just like Florida, right? These rocks are awesome. The best course I have ever done! Were you happy with the way the race was run? Yes, this is probably the best race I've ever been to. If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently? Do about the same as I did. Pace myself - and the last couple of miles just go as hard as I can. Is there anything you would like to add? I'd like to thank my sponsors K2 New Sun. I really hope that someone does this race next year. |
