Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

Rest. I've been training a lot, and since I wanted to do well at this race, I just rested.

In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained?

16-17 I'm guessing.

Were you strong from start to finish?

Yeah, I just paced myself.

When did you put the hammer down?

I kind of paced myself the whole time. At the end I brought it up a little harder to make sure no one caught me.

Editor's note: Eric won this race last year also - that makes two in a row!

Did you have any unusual problems?

I got chain suck on one climb and had to stop and for about a minute trying to get this root out of my chain. That's about it.

How do you rate the course?

I like this course a lot. I won it here last year too. It's really fun. It's like a Florida course.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes, it was run really well.

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

No, I'd do it about the same.

Is there anything you would like to add?

I'd like to thank all of my sponsors.
