Did you do anything special to prepare for this race? Not really. Nothing out of the ordinary. In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained? 9-12 hours per week. Were you strong from start to finish? Yeah, I'd say so. I tried to hang with whoever was in the lead at that point in time throughout the race and then in the end just tried to pull away. When did you put the hammer down? I would say on the second lap - the two guys that I was riding with got kind of tangled up. I just went around them and didn't let off after that. |

Did you have any unusual problems? Right when I started, my chain dropped off. I had to stop and put it back on again. That was right when I hit the single-track. How do you rate the course?I liked it. I've done about three races so far this year and this was my favorite one so far. I liked it because it was fast and it seemed like around every corner it would catch you off guard. Were you happy with the way the race was run? Yeah, it was a great turn out. A lot of vendors and spectators. I was really surprised at how big it was. If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently? I would probably try to start out a little bit harder and try to make sure I had a better mechanic. Is there anything you would like to add? No, I don't think so. I guess that's about it. |
