Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

No, not really.

In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained?

I really didn't decide to come to this race until two weeks ago. In those two weeks, I've probably spent 20 hours on a bike. I never keep track, I just go out and ride.

Were you strong from start to finish?

No, not really. By the end of the first lap, I kind of over paced myself. I had to step it down a little bit. The times really got to me, so I need to work a little bit harder on those.

When did you put the hammer down?

I kind of did on the first lap by accident. As I mentioned I over paced myself for the first lap. At the end it came down to the last hill right before the finish.

Did you have any unusual problems with the race?

Yeah, I did two endos and twisted my headset twice. I fixed it and kept going.

How do you rate the course?

From all of the places that I have been, I really like this course. There is an element of everything. You have climbing, and after the climbs you have some open spaces so you can really get back into it. I really liked it.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yeah, very well.

What was your prize for first place?

A bag of stuff, a water bottle, a stem, a hat, shirt, etc...

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

Not push so hard the first lap. Other than that - hopefully not crash. That's about it.

Is there anything you would like to add?

My team mate fell on the second lap and I missed her for motivation (usually we ride tandem through our races) so....besides not having Shelly Allen with me to finish....it was a great race. Everybody should come down and see what we've got to offer down here.
