Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

I went out Saturday morning and pre-road the course for a couple of laps to get the feel for the course. The course is closed except for race weekend so I wanted to go out and see what we had to expect. That was about it. I stuck to my regular training regiment up until then.

In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained?

Probably 12.

Were you strong from start to finish?

Yes, I got the hole shot (which means I led after the start) and pretty much led the whole race.

When did you put the hammer down?

Right at the beginning.

Did you have any unusual problems with the race?

No, I had a real clean race. No bobbles, no falls - made all of the hills. It was a good race for me.

How do you rate the course?

Excellent.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yes

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

Probably not.

Is there anything you would like to add?

It was a well run race. I would like to thank University Bicycle Center for the swag. They out did themselves. I got a lot of free stuff that I brought home.
