Our apologies for not getting any good shots of Thais at this event.
We are very disappointed. The photo is from her #1 win at Wye Mills 2000 earlier this year.

We'll make up for that at future events as she will be easy to find at the front!

Did you do anything special to prepare for this race?

Just my usual - drink a lot of water and think positive. Try to get a lot of rest yesterday and try not to be too nervous. Stay calm.

In the last two months how many hours a week have you trained on average?

About 11 to 12

Were you strong from start to finish?

Yes, I was strong... but I felt the strongest on the first and the fourth lap. On the fourth lap it was a little hard because the beginners were all out.... but I still felt pretty strong - that was my best lap time (on the fourth lap).

When did you put the hammer down?

I'd say the fourth lap since I knew there was only one women in front of me... so I passed her.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No. Everything went well. I drink a lot of water.... hydrate. It was hot.

How do you rate the course?

I was thinking it wouldn't be too good because it was dirty and everything.... but in the race it was fine. It was a nice course, it was fast... I like all of the little technical stuff ... it's nice single-track.

So did you think it was tougher than Michaux?

Not quite.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Very happy. The only thing I didn't like was the beginners leaving while the Experts were still on the course. Things got a little congested.

If you could do the race again, would you do anything differently?

I don't think so. I think I did pretty well. I wouldn't change anything.

Is there anything you would like to add?

I'd like to thank DEVO and all of my sponsors. They've been really good to me.
