How was your fitness level going into this race?
I was nearly in peak condition, but not quite. A couple more weeks and
I'll be peaking for the MASS final.
Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?
Yes, I was able to get about a thirty yard lead by the time we were heading
into the woods. So I felt comfortable and it let me calm down some.
Were you strong from start to finish?
I felt fairly strong throughout the entire race, especially at the start
and at the finish.
When did you put the hammer down?
About half way through the race when Dominic made an attack I let him go
ahead some then I caught up and really started to hammer.
Did you have any unusual problems?
None.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes, I liked racing early to avoid the heat (but you still can't escape
the humidity.)
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges
with competitors/spectators)?
No, but I always like to say Hello to the spectators, so I did.
Anything you would like to add?
Thanks to my parents friends and teammates for all the support this year,
and also to the race directors and promoters for putting on a great series.
