How was your fitness level going into this race?
Not bad.
Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?
Yes. I figured I would try to be the first in since everyone else probably
has a little bit better technical skills then me.
Were you strong from start to finish?
I started to feel it at the end. The last climb really put the sting in
the legs.
When did you put the hammer down?
After I caught Keith Goulet. I was going to let him go since he was my
teammate and leading the series, but he had technical problems and i didn't
want Vettori coming up on me.
Did you have any unusual problems?
I crashed and landed on my left forearm. That forearm has been taking a
beating this season, so it's a little sore.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Todd and the trail spinners run an awesome event. They know what their
doing. Though there needed to be beer at the water stops.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges
with competitors/spectators)?
Not that I could think about.
Anything you would like to add?
Singlespeeds rule!
