How was your fitness level going into this race?
I know that my fitness level is not where it needs to be. I have been focusing
all my time on school, since I graduate on May 15th, and haven't had much
time to ride.
Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?
I always have poor starts. So with that in mind I felt comfortable with
where I was off the start. I could still see both Caitlyn and Theresa
and that was a first for the season.
Were you strong from start to finish?
Yes, I felt pretty good the whole race.
When did you put the hammer down?
Never really, I was comfortable with my position and just maintained a
steady pace throughout the race.
Did you have any unusual problems?
I had fell the day before at the CAT Classic race and my knee hurt really
bad when I needed to get off and run. My running is usually a strong
point of my racing, so having to walk made me feel as if I was loosing valuable
time.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes, very happy.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race
(exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
Not really.
Anything you would like to add?
Thank you to all sponsors and competitors involved in the race.
