How was your fitness level going into this race?
Pretty good, I've been racing my way into shape.
Were you happy
with your position going into the singletrack?
Yea I was drafting off of Aaron Snyder on the road and then passed him
before we went into the single track.
Were you strong from start
to finish?
I slowed down a little on the third lap.
When did you put the hammer
down?
On the start of the second lap I came through the transition area and as
I was going into the single track and I could hear cheering for Aaron
so I picked up the pace to make a gap.
Did you have any unusual problems?
Negative.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes I was. $?
Did you have any interesting experiences during your
race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
Yeah, towards the end of the race Chris Eatough and Brandon Ott lapped me about
a mile from the finish. At the finish line I was just ahead of Brandon
so that would make an excellent picture because it looked like I beat him.
Anything
you would like to add?
Thanks to Rob and Sarah for the ride, the promoters of the race because
they are cool, and God. Also if anyone wants to donate Money to the "Matt
Needs A New Fork" fund, shoot me an email.
