How was your fitness level going into this race?
Good. Had been nursing a minor leg strain for past few weeks, which seems
to be all gone. I felt good the entire race.
Were you happy with
your position going into the singletrack?
Yes, Top five was the goal for the start, I wanted to make sure I didn't
get held up in too much traffic in the technical single track sections.
Were
you strong from start to finish?
I felt I increased the pace throughout the race, and was feeling extra good
by the end.
When did you put the hammer down?
On the fire road leading up to the "rattlesnake ridge" I amped it up a
bit and pushed pretty hard to get away.
Did you have any unusual
problems?
None that were serious, I think with all the mud everyone had a few drive train
problems.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
As usual it was an excellent event, an amazing course + Cool trophies!!!
