How was your fitness level going into this race?
Fair. We haven't been riding as much in years past so I wasn't sure what
shape I would be in by the end of the race.
Were you happy with your
position going into the singletrack?
I was happy with my position for a very short time--bobbled in a spot and
that was the end of that.
Were you strong from start to finish?
I actually started to feel better towards the end of the race--must have
sensed that my suffering was soon over!
When did you put the hammer
down?
I would say I more or less rode at a steady pace. I think I left the hammer
in one of the many mud puddles on the course.
Did you have any unusual
problems?
No more than anyone else--couldn't shift, no breaks, etc.
Were you happy
with the way the race was run?
Yes, the race promoters put on a good event!
Did you have any interesting
experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
I was glad to have Amber Itle (I hope I spelled your name correctly) to ride
with for awhile. She helped make the time on the course a little more fun.
Anything
you would like to add?
Congrats to all who finished the race!
