How was your fitness level going into this race?
My fitness level is on a steady rise right now, considering last year I
had a DNF at this race due to anemia and other problems associated with
my (then undiscovered) case of Crohn's Disease.
Were you happy with
your position going into the singletrack?
Yes, but I still had to do a lot of passing in the singletrack rocks.
Were
you strong from start to finish?
Yes. I would say this was my best effort to date.
When did you put the hammer
down?
I tried to keep my HR 85% of Max all the time . Occasionally pushing to
the 95%.
Did you have any unusual problems?
I flatted once about three quarters thru the race.
Were you happy with the
way the race was run?
Definitely. This(Michaux) is BY FAR the best race series.
Did you have any
interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
Not really . Everyone was trying to deal with the rain and slick rocks.
Anything
you would like to add?
This was another great race by Gettysburg Cycles.
Great job guys.
