How was your fitness level going into this race?
Average. However, I had only been on the mtb twice in the last month. Due
to time constraints, I spend most of my time on the road.
Were you happy
with your position going into the singletrack?
Yes, somehow I ended up getting the hole shot and was first into the singletrack.
Were
you strong from start to finish?
Yes, my lap times were pretty consistent.
Did you have any unusual problems?
On the last lap when I was trying to catch the lead rider, I came upon
a expert rider on one of the short hills. I yelled to pass, however we
ended up getting our bikes tangled up.
Were you happy with the way
the race was run?
Yes, nice venue. However, i wish the race started when it was scheduled.
Anything
you would like to add?
Great course. I raced alot in the midwest and the course was more like I was
accustomed to riding. I will be back.
