Michael Keller

How was your fitness level going into this race?

Good, at least I think so.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

Yes, I was able to get out in the front.

Were you strong from start to finish?

The first two laps I felt great, on the last last I started to hurt. I think it was from the heat.

When did you put the hammer down?

The start I would say.

Did you have any unusual problems?

Right about 1.5 laps the strap on my fanny pack broke, sending my tools and tubes to the ground. I couldn't stop and stuff everything in my jersey because Tony and Mike were right behind me. I left it and prayed I wouldn't need it for the rest of the race. Luckily everything worked out.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

I thought everything was great.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Probably the 3-4ft black snake I ran over on the 2nd lap. That freaked me out.

Anything you would like to add?

Thanks to the Promoters and all the volunteers for putting on a great race.To my teammates and to the Henrys'. The Goat Milk is working.
