How was your fitness level going into this race?

Ok , I guess I have been feeling tired lately so the last two weeks have been pretty much just rest. I still feel like I am not running my heart rate high enough for long enough.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

I was the first one in, so yeah.

Were you strong from start to finish?

I can't say I felt strong the whole time. At the start I felt good, but the 2nd and 3rd lap were hard.

When did you put the hammer down?

I wanted to see how I felt just going hard the whole time, so I rode hard throughout the race. There were a few times when the competition was putting on the pressure and if it were not for some mechanical out there I don't think I would have pulled it off.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

The race was run very well. The course was great, a true mtn bike race. Thanks to all the guys that made it happen.

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Not really it was all smooth.

Anything you would like to add?

Just want to say thanks again for a great race. Did everyone realize that animal Les took 4th overall on his rigid single speed, That is bad-ass!
