Did you do everything you could to be prepared for today's race?
Thanks to my teammates... who are strong training partners... I would say... ya they prep me pretty well
Did you find the race course challenging?
The course was fun but I wouldn't say it was challenging, in the true sense of mt.biking. It did test the level of endurance (but so does road riding) I feel a challenging mt.bike race should offer longer harder climbs and much more technical terrain. There was only one section in the race where I came out of the BIG RING !!!! But the race was good... given the limited choice of trail riding in that area. They did a good job and it was a good race. It's just that I am spoiled by the great riding in Michaux.
How did you like the Mega-Dip?
O boy ....YA..YA... that ain't nothing
Were you strong from start to finish?
Yes, I ran a strong race, I pretty much just rode the lead and held it
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes they did a good job running the event. I did notice that they where taking a bit of flax for the other race(s) where apparently they were concerned with lining there pockets green, so I do want to say that Yes Iron Hill was run well and they paid pretty good.
When did you put the hammer down?
I rode a good race, I was relaxed and just did my thing.
Did you have any unusual problems?
No it went smooth
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
Everyone was nice.. passing was easy and polite
Is there anything you would like to add?
I just want to say thanks to all my boys... Jess, Pete, Travis, Jake, Harlan,
Heath, and Richard... it makes a big difference when you have friends that are
strong and fun to ride with. Not to mention having the backing of a great bike
shop like Gettysburg Bicycle.
