Did you do anything special (apart from the whole training lifestyle) to prepare for this race?
No I over trained way too much this week though getting ready for states and nationals. I was so sore and tired when I raced I don't even know how I finished.
Did you find the rock gardens challenging?
No not really
Were the other riders courteous when passed or passing?
Some were but others were not.
What was your favorite part of the course?
I would say that long climb and those short steep down hills.
Were you strong from start to finish?
No like I said before I over trained this week so I started out ok but then slowly weakened as the race went on.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
Not with competitors or spectators but when I was doing that long climb I heard something in the bushes and looked over and this four and a half foot long snake slithered right out in front of my tire and luckily it kept going.
When did you put the hammer down?
From the start.
Did you have any unusual problems?
No
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yeah
Is there anything you would like to add?
These guys put together a great race course that was fast and challenging.
