How was your fitness level going into this race?

Seems good. I've put more thought in to my training this year and I'm happy with the results. Thinking is much less painful than training and helps just as much.

Were you happy with your position going into the singletrack?

Yes, the first climb separated riders well. Ski slope starts are always painful.

Were you strong from start to finish?

Yes, I avoided the late race fade.

When did you put the hammer down?

The hardest part of the race for me was the first 20 min. A bit faster than I would liked to have gone.

Did you have any unusual problems?

No, my Scalpel ran great through the mud.

Were you happy with the way the race was run?

Yup

Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?

Riding with Brandon Ott is always interesting.
