Did you do everything you could to be prepared for today's race?
There is always more you can do to prepare but I feel my training is going well and my plan to reach peak fitness for Mt. Snow is going better than I expected.
Did you find the race course challenging?
The race course was fun. The atmospheric conditions were more challenging. The only event tougher than a race in that humidity is using the port-o-lets.
How did you like the Mega-Dip?
I love that thing, it's something to look forward to every lap.
Were you strong from start to finish?
I think so, all though the heat caused me to hurt a little at the end. I just made sure I looked strong to the other competitors.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes, It was on time and everything progressed smoothly. Running a race is difficult and they did a great job.
When did you put the hammer down?
On the third lap at the start of the climb up from the Route-95 straight-a-way. Up until that point I tried to save as much energy as I could by not powering out of each turn as fast as some of the other riders.
Did you have any unusual problems?
I didn't get my feed on the last lap.......I guess I need to pay my feed-zone assistants better.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
No, I rode with Jed and Jason most of the race, those were fun times.
Is there anything you would like to add?
Thanks to the promoters for putting on a great race, I hope there will continue
to be races there well into the future. It's a great course and location. Thanks
to SoBe, Cannondale, Cane Creek, SRAM, Continental, Moonstone and Timex, everything
worked to perfection.
