Did you do everything you could to prepare for today's race?
No, my dinner the night before was a pint of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream.
Did you have any problems getting into the singletrack?
No
How did you like the long climbs?
I like climbing as long as it's not too technical, the longer the better!
Were you strong from start to finish?
No, had the race been any longer I would have faded back, Jay Duffy was very close.
Were you happy with the way the race was run?
Yes and they had the best raffle I've ever seen, although I didn't win anything.
When did you put the hammer down?
I couldn't, my legs are still sore from the Mt. Snow National, they haven't recovered yet. I may have used a months worth of energy in Vermont.
Did you have any unusual problems?
A few, just my typical poor bike handling skills through rock sections and I also took a couple of wrong turns. Full Suspension would have been nice.
Did you have any interesting experiences during your race (exchanges with competitors/spectators)?
No
Do you enjoy point to point races more than lap races?
I enjoy them both, I like to mix it up. Lap races seem to suite me better though.
